SAN FRANCISCO — Tesla and a Black guy who worked at the business’s California factory have settled a long-running discrimination case that drew attention to the electrical lorry maker’s treatment of minorities.
Owen Diaz, who was granted almost $3.2 million by a federal jury last April, reached a “final, binding settlement arrangement that completely fixes all declares,” according to a file submitted Friday with the U.S. District Court in San Francisco.
The file, which offered no information of the contract, stated both celebrations concur that the matter hasactually been dealtwith and the case versus the business run by Elon Musk can be dismissed.
Messages were left Saturday lookingfor information from Tesla attorneys and from Lawrence Organ, Diaz’s lawyer.
