BUCHAREST, Romania — Truck chauffeurs and farmers objected throughout Romania onceagain on Monday as settlements with the union federalgovernment over lower taxes, greater aids and other needs stoppedworking to reach any contracts.

Long convoys of trucks and tractors interrupted traffic on the borders of the capital, Bucharest, and other cities throughout the European Union country. It was the 6th straight day of presentations.

Farmers are requiring quicker aid payments, payment for losses triggered by imports from surrounding Ukraine, and more state help for fuel expenses, amongst other needs. Truck motorists are calling for lower tax and insurancecoverage rates, and have grumbled about prolonged waiting times at the borders.
