(Photo: AFP) When Japanese reporter Kenji Nagai was shot dead by Myanmar soldiers as he covered anti-military demonstrations in 2007, his video cam vanished, along with the last images he recorded. On Wednesday, 16 years and a trick journey out of Myanmar lateron, the cam and its contents were handed back to his household, who hope the videofootage will hold ideas to the last minutes of his life. Nagai, 50, had tookatrip to Myanmar to cover monk-led presentations versus the then-junta for APF News, a little Tokyo-based company that specialises in reports from threat zones. He was eliminated in Yangon on Sept 27, 2007 after soldiers opened fire on demonstrators near the Sule Pagoda, taking restored worldwide attention to the generals’ harsh crackdown.
