Kristi Noem hasactually askedfor assistance from the state’s Supreme Court about conflict-of-interest guidelines for legislators, numerous weeks after a South Dakota state legislator resigned and concurred to payback $500,000 in federal COVID-19 relief that she got for her day care organization.

Jessica Castleberry was a state senator when she got the COVID-19 stimulus financing. Doing so breached a state Supreme Court advisory caution state legislators that it is unconstitutional for them to accept federal pandemic financing.
