(Photo: Philippine Coast Guard through AFP) MANILA: A dripping oil tanker that sank in the Philippines 3 weeks ago hasactually been discovered, authorities stated on Tuesday, as the slick reached waters understood for their abundant marine life. The Princess Empress was bring 800,000 litres of commercial fuel oil when it sank on Feb 28 off the main island of Mindoro, south of the capital Manila. Diesel fuel and thick oil from the vessel have giventhat polluted the waters and beaches of Oriental Mindoro province and other islands. The tanker was discovered by a Japanese fromanotherlocation ran undersea lorry (ROV), Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor informed pressreporters. It is almost 400 metres listedbelow the waves.
