HYDERABAD, India — A huge surge setoff a fire in a pharmaceutical plant in southern India, killing at least 15 employees, cops stated Thursday.

An additonal 40 individuals were hurt in the blast and the fire in the chemical reactor of the plant in Andhra Pradesh state Wednesday and were hospitalized, authorities officer M. Deepika stated, including that some of them were in vital condition.

The Press Trust of India news firm reported traumatic scenes with the skin of anumberof employees peeling off. Ambulances carried them to the healthcarefacility.

Officials suspect the cause was associated to the electricalpower at the plant. State authorities haveactually bought an examination.
