The 15-page book, smallersized than a playing card, is dated December 1829 and is sewed in its initial brown paper covers. It procedures 3.8in (9.6 cm) by 2.5in (6.3 cm) and includes 10 poems. It was bought by a charity for £973,000 ($1.25m) in April and contributed to the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Ann Dinsdale, principal manager of the museum in Haworth, stated at the time of the contribution she was “absolutely delighted” at the book’s return.
