United States President-elect Donald Trump hasactually called a previous congressman-turned-Fox Business host as his choice for transport secretary.
In a declaration revealing the election on Monday, Trump stated Sean Duffy, a co-host of Fox Business’s The Bottom Line who represented a district in Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019, would usher in a “golden age of travel”.
“He will prioritise quality, skills, competitiveness and charm when restoring America’s highways, tunnels, bridges and airports,” Trump stated, explaining Duffy as a “tremendous and favored public servant”.
“He will guarantee our ports and dams serve our economy without jeopardizing our nationwide security, and he will make our skies safe onceagain by gettingridof DEI for pilots and air traffic controllers,” Trump included, referring to variety, equity and addition programs in the workenvironment, which conservatives claim prioritise attributes such as race and gender above benefit.
Duffy, who left Congress in 2019 mentioning the requirement to invest more time with his household, is the 2nd Fox host to be tapped by Trump, after his defence secretary choice, Pete Hegseth.
