MANILA, Philippines — The United States is continuously examining the requirement to broaden export controls to stop China from getting advanced computersystem chips and production devices that might be utilized to increase its military, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo stated Monday.

The U.S. export controls were veryfirst released in 2022 to counter the usage of chips for military applications that consistof the advancement of hypersonic rockets and synthetic intelligence.
