American Heritage Tennis Brand Boast Awakens From Slumber

American heritage tennis brandname Boast puts a premium on products.

A piece of American tennis heritage isn’t coming back to life—it was neverever dead, you see—but it is wakingup from a rest. Matthew Feuer bought 1973-born Boast to restore the inactive brandname.

“I think the brandname has constantly had this traditional American visual,” the 30-year veteran of the shoes market informs me. “We are going to continue to lean into that and reissue some of the pieces that haveactually been popular along the method and then we will have some tactical cooperations going forward.”

Originally birthed in Connecticut, where it stays based today, Boast brought a level of irreverence to nation club sports. The primetime of the brandname consistedof the ‘70s and ‘80s—Tom Cruise’s Risky Business character used Boast and its Japanese maple leaf logodesign. Boast wentback to inactivity for much of the ‘90s and 2000s, however a mix of designers kept it going, beginning in 2011, leading to Feuer, president and creator of The Leather Group, getting it and the brandname’s undercurrent of premium positioning.

“I constantly idea the brandname was cool, the branding was cool,” he states, keepinginmind he used Boast as a high school tennis gamer years earlier. “We are going to be leaning greatly into the word profane. I believe our customer is mostlikely a little bit profane. We are nation club-esque.”

Boast was born in New England in the 1970s.

With 30 years working with some of the greatest business in shoes, Feuer believes he’s foundout rather a bit seeing others. “I constantly thought that if I might ever own a brandname, I would do things inadifferentway,” he states. “I utilized to wear Boast as a kid, and I enjoyed it. [When it came available], I believed, ‘I am going to do this.’ It was that foolish, possibly, to simply kinda go for it.”
