The Delhi and national capital region (NCR) continued to record air quality in “very poor” category on Monday, December 22. With toxic smog covering the region, travel is expected to be hampered due to disruptions in flight and train operations.
As of 8: 05 am, Delhi recorded AQI at 366 levels, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)’s Sameer mobile application. One of the pollution recording station out of 40 was not working properly in Delhi on December 22.

AQI (Air Quality Index) around the area is 402, categorised as ‘severe’, as claimed by CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board).

The Anand Vihar station recorded AQI at 404, while Bawana recorded AQI at 408. Jahangirpuri (403), Mundka (401), Narela (418), Rohini (402), and Wazirpur (405) stations recorded AQI in severe categories.
Layer of toxic smog was seen engulfing various regions in the city, with low visibility recorded in ITO, Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, Ghazipur and India Gate among others.
