GPT Infraprojects has secured a ₹199.2 crore contract from North Eastern Railway for bridge construction works, strengthening its railway infrastructure order book.
GPT Infraprojects Limited has received a construction contract worth ₹199.2 crore from North Eastern Railway, according to an exchange filing on December 23.
The order involves construction of substructures, fabrication and launching of superstructures for two major railway bridges over the River Rapti. The bridges—each comprising 10 spans of 61 metres—will support double-line railway traffic with RDSO 25-tonne axle loading standards.
The project is part of the new railway line development between Khalilabad and Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh and will be executed over a period of 730 days from the appointed date. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related-party transaction, the company said.
GPT Infraprojects is a railway-focused infrastructure player with expertise in bridges, road overbridges and concrete sleepers. Following this contract win, the com
