Sony revealed a brand-new PlayStation State of Play theotherday for about 30 hours lateron. Now, it’s showingup tonight and we’ll see what they haveactually prepared.
The State of Play will be on at 3 PM PDT, 6 PM EDT and 11 PM BST, tonight, Tuesday, September 24.
What’s coming? What we formally understand is that there are “more than 20” upcoming PS5 and PS VR 2 videogames from studios around the world. That is of course not simply exclusives on the PS5 side, most mostlikely, however we will no doubt see lotsof of those.
The running joke is that all the videogames will just be remasters of old titles, or remasters of remasters, as we’re doing at this point. But jokes aside we will…probably see some remasters, as reports state at least one popular videogame will get one.
What are fans hoping to see from the reveal, offered that no one is extremely interested in another batch of remasters? The sky-high expectation list would be:
- Insomniac’s Venom (not main)
- Insomniac’s Wolverine
- Ghost of Tsushima 2
- Naughty Dog’s next job – Sci-fi videogame and/or The Last of UnitedStates Part 3
- God of War’s next setting
- Horizon Multiplayer Game
- Info on Bungie’s Marathon
- Bungie’s codename Gummy Bears videogame
- Preview of Destiny 2: Frontiers material
- Some sort of significant Helldivers 2 growth
- New Batman Arkham videogame (there’s a current report this exists and Sony might be interested in getting it)
- The return of an IP like Resistance, Killzone or SOCOM
- Concord 2 (jokes)
Marathon
It is possible actually absolutelyno of these program up in a quickly revealed State of Play, though I’d settle for even one of them at this point. Sony has so lotsof tasks in the works we understand absolutelynothing or next to absolutelynothing about at this point, and if Xbox hasactually done anything they have at least revealed off most of their big revealed or previously dripped tasks at this point, while Sony has kept things much more under covers. The expectation is yes, more remasters and 3rd celebration videogames they have marketing offers with. Though ideally more than that.
