Greek Souvlaki

It’s easy to make Greek-style souvlaki at house. You simply requirement a excellent Greek spice mix and a flame to cook over.
Ingredients
- 900g beef, diced
- 2 tomatoes, cutinhalf & chopped
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 lemons, quartered
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp granulated garlic
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tsp coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon broken pepper
- 1 pack pita bread
- 1 tub tzatziki
- 1 Spanish onion, cutinhalf & chopped
Method
- In a bowl, integrate beef, thyme, oregano, parsley, garlic, oil, salt and pepper and marinade for 2 hours.
- Thread beef onto skewers.
- Heat barbecue over medium-high heat and assoonas hot, location the skewers onto the grill.
- Turn skewers every minutes while basting with the remaining marinade upuntil prepared.
- Remove from barbecue and cover with foil. Meanwhile, grill the pita.
- Reduce barbecue flame to low, brush pita with olive oil and turn for about a minutes on each side.
- Smear each pita with tzatziki and layer on the salad and beef.

- Tip: Use a piece of foil or baking paper to wrap the souvlaki to keep it all together.
