How UVA informs the story of human motion throughout history.
Ensemble, proving now at 180 Studios as part of United Visual Artists’ Synchronicity exhibition, analyzes mankind’s developing relationship with physical motion, gesture and musicality.
A cooperation with choreographer Dana Gingras (who formerly worked with UVA on her program Frontera) and artist Roger Tellier-Craig, Ensemble draws from early stop movement methods to inform the story of how human motion hasactually been formed throughout history.
In this video, Clark broadens on the styles and motivations behind Ensemble. Synchronicity is open upuntil 28 January, 2024 at London’s 180 Studios and includes brand-new works consistingof Polyphony, Chromatic and Edge of Chaos.
