Week 17 continued with a matchup of two AFC Wild Card teams!
The Houston Texans beat the Los Angeles Chargers to extend their winning streak to eight games and keep their AFC South title hopes alive. It was a defensive grudge match, as expected, but both offenses made key plays. C.J. Stroud threw two 44-plus-yard touchdowns in the first quarter to help the Texans take a two-score lead. Justin Herbert led a pair of touchdown drives to mount a comeback. But Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker missed a short field goal and extra point, and those four points were the difference. With the result, the Texans can win the AFC South if the Jacksonville Jaguars lose a game, while the Chargers’ loss means the Denver Broncos win the AFC West.
