The Indianapolis Colts will start novice quarterback Anthony Richardson in Saturday’s preseason opener at Buffalo, head coach Shane Steichen revealed Thursday.
Richardson, the 4th general choice in the 2023 NFL Draft, hasactually been working mostly with the beginners over the past week and hasactually revealed looks of the raw skill that interested the group.
Because Richardson just began one college football season at Florida, it was uncertain how rapidly the Colts would push the 21-year-old into action.
Richardson hasactually been fighting veteran Gardner Minshew for the No. 1 area on the depth chart, however Steichen currently understands what Minshew can do giventhat both worked together in Philadelphia each of the past 2 seasons. Steichen stated he desires to see what Richardson can do with the Colts’ beginners on videogame day.
