Luka Doncic had 33 points, 14 rebounds and 10 helps and the Dallas Mavericks ruined the NBA launching of No. 1 draft choice Victor Wembanyama, pounding the San Antonio Spurs 126-119 on Wednesday night.

Devin Vassell had 23 points to lead San Antonio. Keldon Johnson included 17 and Wembanyama had 15 points.
Wembanyama scored 9 points in the last 7 minutes after havingahardtime with nasty problem in the 4th quarter. The novice was 6-for-9 from the field and had 5 rebounds and 2 helps and a block in 23 minutes.
