Dec. 27 (UPI) — Amazon will present advertisements to its Prime Video streaming service in January.

The business stated in a letter to customers Wednesday that it will start revealing “limited ads” in motionpictures and TELEVISION series on Prime Video beginning Jan.29

“This will enable us to continue investing in engaging material and keep increasing that financialinvestment over a long duration of time,” Amazon stated.

The business included that it intends “to have meaningfully less advertisements than direct TELEVISION and other streaming TELEVISION suppliers.”

Members can pay an extra $2.99 per month for an ad-free choice.

Ads will not appear in material that is acquired or leased.
