Angel Reese will be leaving her “Bayou Barbie” name in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
After getting picked by the Chicago Sky in the veryfirst round of the 2024 WNBA draft, the previous LSU star stated on social media she’s looking for a brand-new label:

Reese currently had plenty of luck leaning on outside input when it came to structure her brandname. She informed Cara O’Bleness of Sports Illustrated in May 2023 that “Bayou Barbie” was something an LSU fan called her in Baton Rouge and she “just ran with it.”
“I imply, it kind of fits me,” she stated. “I’m in Baton Rouge, which is the bayou, and then the Barbie part is my nails, lashes, hair [which are] constantly done on the court, so yeah, it went together.”
Of course, the drawback of “Bayou Barbie” was that it would just use for as long as Reese matched up for the Tigers. Now that she’s moving north to the Windy City, the label merely doesn’t work as well.
