INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Kawhi Leonard hasactually been ruled out for the rest of the LA Clippers’ preseason, and his status for their season opener Oct. 23 stays unsure.
Leonard has not fit up this preseason, missingouton the veryfirst 3 videogames and Monday night’s 110-96 win versus the Dallas Mavericks duetothefactthat of swelling in his right knee.
“Continue to keep rehabbing,” Clippers coach Ty Lue stated when asked about the strategy for Leonard this week. “Keep getting muchbetter. Keep inspecting the boxes.”
Lue stated Leonard will not play in LA’s preseason ending versus the Kings on Thursday.
Leonard has not gotinvolved in contact drills in training camp, as the group hasactually been mindful with its franchise star. Lue has stated that Leonard has invested practices reinforcing his knee.
