Funk Flex hasactually been struck with an FCC problem over remarks he made about Afrika Bambaataa. The latter, who is a DJ, rapartist, and manufacturer from the South Bronx, hasactually been implicated with numerous accusations of kid molestation. Bambaataa justrecently played a DJ set on Funkmaster Flex’s program while dealingwith an open civil case for kid sex trafficking.
On Wednesday (Aug. 28), advocacy company Hip-Hop Stands with Survivors filed the FCC problem versus New York radio station Hot 97 and Funkmaster Flex for permitting the Zulu Nation founder to appear on the platform and dispersing falseinformation.
“The station was careless with permitting this male in there as a visitor when he has an open case of the most dreadful nature,” Leila Wills, co-founder of Hip-Hop Stands with Survivors, informed Rolling Stone. “Bambaataa is declared to haveactually offered a 12-year-old for cash to adult guys to take benefit of. He has not safeguarded himself, so Flex and HOT97 cannot safeguard him.”
Bambaataa was implicated of molestation by Zulu Nation member Ronald “Bee Stinger” Savage, Hassan Campbell, and others in 2016
