Gerard Depardieu Denies Rape Allegations: “Never, Ever Have I Abused a Woman”

French star Gerard Depardieu, 74, has rejected rape and sexual attack accusations made versus him, publishing an open letter in French paper Le Figaro under the title “Je veux enfin vous alarming ma vérité,” significance: “I lastly desire to inform you my fact.”

“Never, ever have I mistreated a lady,” Depardieu composed, according to English-language reports by news company Agence France-Presse and the BBC. “To the media court, to the lynching that hasactually been booked for me, I have just my word to protect myself.”

The veteran star was examined for declared rape in 2021 after a female implicated him of raping and attacking her in Paris in August2018 Depardieu’s attorney informed AFP at the time that his customer “totally disagreement[d]” the claims.
