German Foreign Ministry condemns prohibited Israeli settlements

March 24 (UPI) — The German Foreign Ministry condemned unlawful Israeli settlements on Sunday after Israel seized 800 hectares, or about 3 square miles, of Palestinian land.

“We highly condemn the statement to seize over 800 hectares of land in the Palestinian Territories as Israeli state land,'” the German Foreign Ministry stated in a declaration.

“This would be the biggest appropriation in over 30 years. The settlements break global law and fuel additional stress in this exceptionally vulnerable circumstance.”

Before the war broke out in October, 199 Palestinians were eliminated in the West Bank throughout 2023 — mostly at the hands of unlawful Israeli inhabitants, information from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs programs.

The circumstance hasactually gotten evenworse throughout the war, with Israeli people taking groves of pomegranate trees and fig trees from Palestinian farmers as Israeli inhabitants force hundreds of Palestinians from their homes.

Still, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock highlighted assistance for Israel’s security in a declaration on Sunday.

“In the hell of Gaza, more than a million kids, females and males are threatened by cravings. This should not go on for a single day. Together with our partners, we are leaving no stone unturned.
