Father-of-three Andrew Clifford stayed lying face down on the flooring for around 6 hours before he was discovered by a shipment chauffeur.

Andrew Clifford hadactually been working alone settingup first-floor joists throughout the buildingandconstruction of a home on Main Road in Dronfield. The 51-year-old was bring out the work on behalf of Paul Freeman Limited,  a Mansfield business with which he had worked for around 20 years.

On the earlymorning of 31st October 2022 Mr Clifford slipped and fell from the veryfirst flooring to the ground listedbelow and was left notable to relocation.

He invested almost 5 months in healthcenter, with the injuries to his back cable so severe they left him paralysed from the chest down, with just minimal motion in his hands and arms. “The veryfirst thing I recall after my fall was landing on my head,” Mr Clifford stated. “From that point it was a really weird sensation as from when I landed, I felt no discomfort and I couldn’t comprehend why or that I couldn’t get up.

“My radio was on and I evaluated the time by the news. After an hour, I attempted to relocation onceagain and this brought on for around 3 hours. Eventually, I understood this was severe and I idea I’d muchbetter stay still as I didn’t desire to cause more injuries.
