The Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office announced a man from Cobb County had been convicted of a series of crimes Friday, all stemming from his abuse of a 14-year-old.
Alexis Trinidad, also known as Elder Israel Perez, a 34-year-old man from Marietta, was found guilty by a jury after four days at trial.
The Cherokee County DA’s Office said sheriff’s deputies first began investigating Trinidad in April 2023 after a child reported to members of her family that Trinidad would force himself on her.
The victim’s family told members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, which is when their investigation started.
