The Lansing Police Department in Michigan hasactually launched a declaration after a viral video revealed officers incorrectly apprehending a preteen. The viral video was published on TikTok Thursday and has because amassed over 2 million views.

More Details Regarding The Michigan Teen’s Wrongful, Viral Arrest
As the viral TikTok video starts, audiences see a young, Black teenager being held by his arm by a white cops officer. The individual recording the video can be heard describing that the young male was “bringing out his garbage.”
As the video continues, the officer is seen speaking with the teenager. Then looks off-camera.
“I’m his father — what’s the issue?” a guy’s voice screams from off-camera.
Another individual, who appears to be near the lady recording, verifies, “He was taking out his garbage, yo.”
As the video continues, a 2nd cops carsandtruck getshere on the scene. The male officer then accompanies the teenager over to his dad. As a 2nd female officer signsupwith the group, the youngboy is seen to be handcuffed.
The discussion then appears to start inbetween the officers and the daddy, with the daddy seen noticeably upset and raising his hands to his head. At that point, the woman officer escorts the teenager away from his daddy to the veryfirst cops carsandtruck. The youngboy is then put in the rearseat of the lorry.
The electroniccamera returns to the male officer and the youngboy’s daddy, who is shaking his head in shock.
“But what did the kid do, though?” the male observer asks.
The dad’s voice then endsupbeing raised.
“You’re messing with my kid’s mental male… this is a ideal kid!”
At this point, it appears that the officer hasactually notified the daddy that his boy matched the description of a suspect they were trying to capture.
“That ain’t even him,” the onlooking guy validates.
As the daddy techniques the observers, he discusses that he was “just cleaning the meals” when he asked his child to take the trash out.
“They shocked my kid, you understand!”
