Dec. 6 (UPI) — First woman Jill Biden will signupwith the Marine Corps at the White House Wednesday as she hosts a Toys For Tots occasion, part of her Joining Forces Initiative.
The White House stated military households will signupwith the occasion at about 3 p.m. ET.
Joining Forces is an effort to assistance armedforce households, from members to veterans, caretakers and survivors.
Among the problems Joining Forces addresses are high joblessness rates amongst military partners, assistance for the more than 2 million kids of active-duty service members as they cope with education difficulties and aid for military households with health and wellness.
Toys For Tots is a Marine Corps Reserve program introduced in 1947 that hasactually provided 652 million toys to 291 million kids over the years.
