OLM produces animation with SMDE on CG
The authorities site for the anime of Ken Kawasaki and Yū Furusawa‘s Oi! Tonbo (Hey! Tonbo) manga exposed a brand-new teaser trailer and visual for the anime on Tuesday. The teaser exposes the anime’s spring 2024 tv best, as well as the studio OLM on its animation production with SMDE for the CG animation.

The manga’s story starts with Igarashi, who was disqualified as a professional golfplayer after a specific “incident” and therefore moves to Kagoshima Prefecture’s Tokara Islands to action out of the spotlight. On these islands understood as “Japan’s last undiscovered wilderness,” he encounters a ignorant lady called Tonbo.
As it turns out, these apparently uncharted islands have a homemade golf course, where Tonbo plays every day. She shows genius-level expertise, playing every kind of shot with simply one golf club, a 3-iron. Igarashi is impressed at Tonbo’s skill, even as he harbors questions about her just utilizing a 3-iron. Yet, covert deep in Tonbo’s heart lies a unpleasant, unfortunate previous ….
