Oct. 16 (UPI) — Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. dropped a nationwide public vacation marking the 1986 People Power Revolution that ended the two-decade-long dictatorship of his late dad, Ferdinand E. Marcos, from a federalgovernment calendar.
The Feb. 25 vacation was left out of a federalgovernment pronouncement of the dates of 18 routine and “special non-working days” that will be formally observed in 2024, according to a declaration released Friday by the state-owned Philippine News Agency.
