Press liberty groups and rights activists haveactually condemned the Israeli military byforce shutting down Al Jazeera’s workplace in Ramallah, in the inhabited West Bank, calling the act an attack on journalism.
Early on Sunday earlymorning, Israeli soldiers robbed the bureau of the Qatar-based network and bought its closure for 45 days.
The raid, caught on live TELEVISION, revealed greatly equipped Israeli soldiers handing an Israeli military court order to Al Jazeera’s bureau chief Walid al-Omari, notifying him of the closure.
Al-Omari lateron stated the court order implicated Al Jazeera of “incitement to and assistance of terrorism” and that the Israeli soldiers taken the bureau’s videocameras before leaving.
