Nov. 18 (UPI) — Prime Video has revealed it purchased a 2nd spinoff for its Bosch criminalactivity drama franchise, based on the works of bestselling author Michael Connelly.
Known for now as the Untitled Renée Ballard Project, the series will consistof 10 episodes and stream on Prime Video.
Michael Alaimo and Kendall Sherwood are set to serve as showrunners of the brand-new addition to the franchise.
It will follow Ballard “who is charged with running the LAPD’s brand-new cold case department — a badly moneyed, all-volunteer system with the biggest case load in the city,” according to a summary.
“Ballard techniques these frozen-in-time cases with compassion and decision,” the summary continued. “When she reveals a bigger conspiracy throughout her examinations, she’ll lean on the help of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to browse the threats that threaten both her system and her life.”
