Here are the rarest Fortnite skins that haven’t returned to the game in years. Consider yourself lucky if you have any of these.

Fortnite almost felt like a completely different game when it was first released in 2017. During the OG days, people were still getting the hang of the game and the skins were also limited. Little did we know that in 2023, a lot of the player base would kill to go back in time to purchase Renegade Raider or Double Helix for one last time.

Nowadays, skins have become one of the things that make Fortnite so appealing. Whether it’s the newest collaboration skin with a celebrity, console exclusive skin, or a time-limited Battle Pass skin, the game always has something that keeps players coming back to it. Although they are available at the moment, the truth is we can never be fully sure if they’ll ever come back in the future.

Well, if you’ve been playing Fortnite for a while now, you may be wondering if you have something rare in your locker yourself. Let’s check out the rarest Fortnite skins in the game’s history.

Rarest Fortnite Skins (December 2023)

We’ve compiled the rarest Fortnite skins including Item Shop skins, Battle Pass skins, as well as bundle exclusive skins for consoles and mobile. We’ll update this list if one of these skins suddenly gets rotated in the Item Shop, like the long-awaited Black Widow and Stranger Things skins.

Paradigm

The Paradigm skin in Fortnite, one of the rarest OG skins.

Paradigm is a part of Fortnite’s lore, and although there’s a newer and remixed version of her in the form of Paradigm (Reality-659), the OG will always remain in players’ hearts. First introduced in Season X, Paradigm has only three occurrences up until today. This skin was last seen 1536 days ago and no one really knows if it’ll come back.

World Warrior

The World Warrior skin, which was last seen 1613 days ago in Fortnite.

At first sight, World Warrior may look like a generic outfit, with the usual colorful tank top and long white pants. However, this skin is actually rarer than Paradigm, given that it was last seen on July 28, 2019, which is 1613 days ago. It’s also part of the World Cup 2019 set which you could only purchase for three days at the time.

Reflex

The Reflex skin bundle which includes an outfit, pickaxe, glider, and backbling in Fortnite.

Don’t be surprised if you get owned by someone wearing a Reflex skin—chances are they’ve been rocking the Battle Royale since 2018. This skin is extremely rare because it was part of a limited-time GeForce bundle, meaning that you need to purchase a graphics card to get your hands on it.

Even when it appeared in the Item Shop in 2019, it was only available for purchase for two days. At the time of writing, Reflex has yet to be seen for 1759 days. We might need some kind of miracle to bring this skin back.

Black Knight

The Black Knight skin which was only available from the Season 2 Battle Pass.

Featuring a classic knight in black with red hues and a shield on the back, the Black Knight is arguably one of the coolest and most beloved OG skins. It’s so rare to the point that unless you’re really lucky, there’s little chance you’ll stumble upon someone equipping this skin.

Unlike rare Item Shop skins that you can just buy with V-Bucks, the Black Knight skin actually requires you to grind the Season 2 Battle Pass to level 70 to obtain it. Since not a lot of people were tryharding back then in the early days compared to today, the high requirement to unlock Black Knight makes it one of the rarest Fortnite skins in history.

Renegade Raider

Those who own the Renegade Raider skin in Fortnite are considered the true OGs.

In this day and age, the Renegade Raider skin has become the ultimate symbol for veteran players due to how extremely rare it is. Being an outfit from the Season 1 Battle Pass, players had to reach level 20 to equip this skin. The level requirement may not be as high as Black Knight, but given that the game just came out, only some lucky players were able to get this skin.

Over the years, we’ve received Renegade Raider skin variants such as Renegade Runner, Blaze, and Gingerbread Raider. These are probably the closest thing we can get to the OG since it’s apparent that Battle Pass skins don’t come back.

Aerial Assault Trooper

Interestingly, the Aerial Assault Trooper skin is rarer than the Renegade Raider.

Similar to the Renegade Raider, the Aerial Assault Trooper is part of the Season 1 Battle Pass. This skin features a military-style outfit with goggles, and its simplicity definitely takes us back to the OG Fortnite aesthetics back in 2017.

What makes the Aerial Assault Trooper extremely rare is that most players who were playing back then opted to unlock the Renegade Raider skin instead. This alone makes the Aerial Assault Trooper outrank Renegade Raider in terms of rarity in 2023.

Rarest Exclusive Bundle Skins in Fortnite

Every once in a while, there are console and mobile exclusive bundles that come with a Fortnite skin. As these are considered expensive and limited-time, many would think twice about purchasing these bundles just for an in-game cosmetic.

Galaxy

The Galaxy is one of the rarest and most expensive skins in Fortnite.

The Galaxy skin is sparkling, stunning, eye-catching, and extremely expensive. You know someone is serious about the game when they have this skin because the only way to obtain it is by buying a Galaxy Note 9 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 during a Samsung promotion back in August 2018.

Now that the promotion has ended, there is no way to get this skin anymore. Sure, there are similar skins out there like the Galaxy-Gappler and Galaxia, but the original Samsung Galaxy skin just arguably hits different.

Double Helix

The Double Helix skin from the Nintendo Switch x Fortnite limited-time bundle.

Spending hundreds of dollars just to get the Double Helix skin from the Nintendo Switch x Fortnite limited-time bundle in 2018 may not be something that comes to mind for most players.

Still, those who managed to snatch this exclusive bundle back then are extremely lucky because the Double Helix skin never returned to this day. Even if you manage to find people selling this rare console nowadays, the prices have skyrocketed so much, which just adds to its ultra-rare factor.

Honor Guard

The Honor Guard is arguably the rarest bundle exclusive skin in Fortnite.

Getting your hands on the extremely rare Honor Guard skin means that you’ll need to purchase an Honor View 20 phone. Back when it was first released in 2019, this was priced at around $650, which is already expensive if your main goal is just to get this skin in Fortnite.
