According to an SI report, the Cleveland Browns are ready to take on half of Baker Mayfield’s wage

We have more details on the future of previous Oklahoma Sooners QB Baker Mayfield.

In a previous post, I stated that the Cleveland Browns didn’t desire to pay any of Baker Mayfield’s wage.

In April, that was real, and the primary factor why Baker wasn’t moved priorto the NFL Draft. However, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Browns are ready to consume more than half of Mayfield’s income.

Breer states that the Browns are prepared to keep “$9, $10 million” of Mayfield’s offer and he doesn’t think that the Browns are holding on to him as insurancecoverage for a Deshaun Watson suspension.

Breer likewise stated that the Panthers would just make the trade is its a deal for them. Whatever the Browns are ready to consume, it may not be enough to ship Mayfield off to the Panthers.
