Nearly 10,000 power interruptions were reported in Arizona Wednesday as a winterseason storm passed through the state, one of numerous locations in the U.S. dealing with winterseason weathercondition this week.
The greatest concentration of blackouts was in the northern part of the state, where 6,000 houses and organizations in Coconino County were without power, representing more than 24% of the county’s electrical consumers, according to USA TODAY Network’s power failure database.
The county is house to Flagstaff, which stayed under a winterseason storm caution Wednesday.
In Maricopa County, house of Phoenix, over 1,000 blackouts were reported, a portion of the county’s 1.86 million power clients.
