ESPN revealed its 2024 preseason college football All-America group Wednesday. Two Clemson protective standouts made the list.
Senior Barrett Carter was called a First Team choice while sophomore defensive takeon Peter Woods made Second Team honors.
ESPN’s Chris Low stated of Carter:
“Clemson’s defense got terrific news when Carter revealed last December he was returning for his senior season. He’s a 6-1, 230-pound eagerbeaver who hasactually revealed flexibility throughout his profession by moving around and playing various functions. He’s as reliable hurrying the passer as he is dropping into pass protection. Dabo Swinney called Carter “one of the finest pure football gamers I’ve had in 20 years.”
