California dealt with yet another huge storm that damaged much of the state with bands of rain, wind, snow and power interruptions to thousands Wednesday night and Thursday earlymorning.
The storm, considered a “bomb cyclone,” discarded rain in parts of the Bay Area, forced the cancellation of more than 70 flights at San Francisco International Airport and downed trees and power lines.
It stimulated California Gov. Gavin Newsom to state a state of emergencysituation Wednesday, licensing state National Guard systems to assistance the catastrophe action. San Francisco Mayor London Breed stated at a news conference that the city was “preparing for a war.”
More than 180,000 houses and companies were without power in California early Thursday, according to poweroutage.us.
