If Conor McGregor believes his roadway back to the UFC will come with unique advantages, he might have another thing coming.
McGregor, 34, has not combated consideringthat a broken leg in his trilogy battle versus Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
The MMA world foundout at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi in October that McGregor no longer is in the drug screening swimmingpool with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the UFC’s drug-testing partner. Standard procedure is that fighters who leave the screening swimmingpool should be back in it for 6 months priorto they can battle onceagain.
The UFC can demand exemptions from that guideline. This past week, McGregor published on Twitter and indicated he believes he’ll be offered one of those exemptions.
McGregor stated he anticipates to be back in the swimmingpool in February and simply will requirement to pass 2 tests under the exemption and he’ll be excellent to go.
But a USADA agent informed UFC broadcast partner ESPN that McGregor is not likely going to get unique treatment.
