Steph Curry’s accolades continue to stack up. 

Fresh on the heels of Curry winning the NBA Finals MVP after declaring his fourth title with the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, Davidson College announced that the university will retire his No. 30 jersey and induct him into the Davidson Athletics Hall of Fame.

The jersey retirement event and induction will take location on Aug. 31, the verysame day Curry will get his diploma after making his Bachelor of Arts degree with a sociology significant.

“We’re doing it in threes — Steph likes threes, ideal?” Director of Athletics Chris Clunie stated in a news release following the statement on Friday. 

Curry’s No. 30 will be the veryfirst number retired by Davidson, although the school has retired 6 gamer jerseys in program history, according to the release. 

In his 3 seasons at Davidson, Curry endedupbeing the university’s all-time leading scorer with 2,635 points and is the the Southern Conference’s all-time prominent scorer. He was the Southern Conference’s Freshman of the Year in 2007 and made the SoCon Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009.

Curry finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology to signupwith the Davidson College class of 2022. He satisfied a pledge to his mom Sonya that he would get his degree. 

“Davidson College looks forward to an chance on school in the future when we can present his diploma,” Davidson said in a statement published on social media in May.
