The IndyStar, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported Robin Matthews, a racing fan from Indianapolis, was the owner of the automobile that was struck by the loose tire.
“I didn’t see it come down,” Matthews informed Indy Star. “I came down and they stated ‘Robin, it’s your automobile!’ I believed, ‘No.’ I idea someone was pranking me.
“It’s a vehicle. It’s fine.”
Matthews included she was grateful no one was seriously hurt from the tire. IndyCar validated one individual was carried to the infield care center after being struck by particles not from the tire throughout the crash. They were inspected and launched. Matthew’s vehicle suffered damage on its front left side near the headlight.
Matthews, who stated she’s participatedin
