John Cena, previous WWE champ, is supposedly a big fan of the Metroid franchise and asked Nintendo for a brand-new 2D Metroid game in 2017.
As identified by VGC, Giant Bomb’s Dan Ryckert, who previously worked for World Wrestling Entertainment, declared on Twitter that the wrestler turned star consistently asked Nintendo associates for a brand-new videogame in the Metroid franchise at a 2017 image shoot promoting the upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch.
Ryckert composed “During this picture shoot in 2017, Cena consistently informed the Nintendo associates how much he desired a brand-new 2D Metroid.” Cena’s dream came real in 2021 when Nintendo launched Metroid Dread, a videogame which was formerly canceled atsomepoint in the late 2000s.
The tweet goes on to state that “When Metroid Dread came out years lateron, he was sentout a copy. Cena’s individuals sentout an e-mail back stating ‘John likes it.’” Cena wasn’t the just fan of the videogame as Metroid Dread rapidly endedupbeing the franchise’s verypopular title.
