Randy Rand, a founding member and bassist of the glam metal band Autograph, passedaway Tuesday.
Rand’s death “came as a repercussion of some existing heart issues,” according to Mario de Riso, a representative from Frontiers Music Srl, who validated his death to USA TODAY Thursday.
The band revealed the “unexpected passing” of Rand in a social media post on Tuesday. At the time of his death, the band stated the starting member and “cherished pal” was surrounded by his “beautiful and boundless love,” his betterhalf Regina Rand, and his household.
The band continued: “Although beyond ravaged, we discover some convenience and solace understanding the last couple of years haveactually been some of his happiest as an artist and as a entertainer.”
