Raufeon Stots doesn’t believe he was in the perfect scenarios to win the Bellator bantamweight grand prix this past April.
Stots lost his Bellator interim title and the chance to crown himself winner of the 135-pound bantamweight competition that the promo introduced last year, as he was rapidly knocked out by Patchy Mix in the primary occasion of Bellator 295.
Although Stots (19-2 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) appreciates Mix, he’s persuaded he didn’t gointo 100 percent into the cage, as he passedout throughout his weight cut previous to the battle.
“I’m hoping that I can have my rematch versus Patchy,” Stots informed MMA Junkie Radio. “I feel like I went into that battle not jeopardized, however understanding something I didn’t understand inthepast. I messed up in my nutrition the last 2 camps. I didn’t understand that I was doing it to myself. I wasn’t consuming all that I required to be consuming. My weight cut suffered duetothefactthat of it, and I passed out since of the weight cut.
“I would like the opportunity to battle him onceagain. Not stating that’s the factor he won, however I understand I would be able to attack the battle inadifferentway. … That one left a kind of sour taste in my mouth duetothefactthat I feel like I wasn’t able to really battle and see where I’m at with Patchy. That’s kind of where my he
