The claim: Target is selling ‘tuck-friendly’ swimwears for kids
A May 17 Instagram video reveals a female walking through the LGBTQ pride area of Target and finding a rainbow swimwear with a tag that states the fit is “tuck-friendly.”
She states the swimwear is just offered in the pride area, not the kid’s or infant’s areas.
Following this clip, conservative podcast host Matt Walsh is revealed stating, “We can likewise plainly see that the bathing matches, though not in the kid’s area, are readilyavailable in kids’ sizes. …Target is particularly marketing items for kids and putting them on screen right in the front of their shops for all to see.”
The post gathered more than 180,000 likes in less than a week. Similar variations of the claim haveactually been shared on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The swimwear is marketed towards grownups, not kids, and is provided in sizes XXS through 4X. None of the kids’ swimwears in the Pride area are identified as “tuck-friendly.”
Swimsuit is for grownups, not kids
Target is dealingwith conservative reaction due to its LGBTQ pride month area and is pulling some pride product from its shops in action. The “tuck-friendly” swimwear, made for those who are transgender, is one such product that has stimulated outrage online.
Though some of the swimwears revealed on the Target rack in the Instagram video appear rather little togetherwith the bigger sizes, they aren’t kids’s swimwears. The tag revealed by the females programs the size identified as XS.
This is constant with the Target site, which lists sizes for the swimwear varying from XXS to 4X, or “Adult General Sizing.” The swimwear is likewise called the “Pride Adult One Piece Colorblock Swimsuit.”
