Tatsuro Taira added the signature victory to his resume that he’s been looking for after defeating Alex Perez in the UFC on ESPN 58 main event.

Japan’s top prospect Taira (16-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) extended his undefeated record with a second-round injury TKO triumph over former flyweight title challenger Perez (24-9 MMA, 6-5 UFC) in Saturday’s headliner, which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Alex Perez taps out due to injury in the 2nd round.

Taira had his back and used his leverage to drive him backwards, which caused the injury.

Caposa

Taira just blew out Perez’s knee pulling him to the canvas in a body triangle. That’s new

Dominick Cruz

That back take to body triangle takedown is highly technical by Taira -what a win for the undefeated fighter. Perez is being carried out #UFCVegas93
