The four-team period of the College Football Playoff is over. Beginning with the 2024 season, we will now have an FBS postseason with 12 groups contending for the title of nationwide champs.
And as that period ends and a brand-new one starts, we idea it was about time to appearance back on all the semifinal videogames that were played throughout those 10 seasons. Some of them — like the 2 we simply saw in 2024 — were a genuine blast. Others, like the 2015 Cotton Bowl, were huge downers. These videogames have motivated memes and developed legends.

Alabama 24, Clemson 6 (2018)
This was the just time that 2 seasonal playoff groups – Alabama and Clemson – fulfilled in a semifinal. It included a throwback efficiency for a dominant Alabama defense and a strong Jalen Hurts trip.
Somehow, Alabama protective lineman Da’Ron Payne scored more goals than Najee Harris, Josh Jacobs, DeVonta Smith and Damien Harris integrated in this videogame. And it was gorgeous, too.

Ohio State 49, Clemson 28 (2020)
This videogame was not close after the veryfirst quarter. It’s not on this list for coming down to the wire or anything like that.
No, this videogame is just here because it is mostlikely the biggest Justin Fields has ever been on a football field. He tossed for 385 lawns and 6 – SIX! – goals.

LSU 63, Oklahoma 28 (2019)
Like our previous entry, this videogame is not here because it was competitive. It’s here because this was Joe Burrow and that LSU offense at its outright finest. Burrow tossed for 493 lawns and 7 – SEVEN! – goals. Four of those ratings were carried in by Justin Jefferson.
