The New York Mets had their season come to an abrupt end Sunday night when they lost Game 3 of their wild-card series with the Padres, 6-0. It was an empty night for a group that had an empty last month of the season and it all came to a squashing end at house in front of their dissatisfied fans.

There was one awkward minute in Game 3 which was hard to watch and it made me feel thankful that the Mets ended up losing duetothefactthat the relocation their supervisor, Buck Showalter, did in the 6th inning was so unfortunate and desperate that it endedupbeing rather easy to root for their death.

I’m talking, of course, about when he stepped out of the dugout and asked the umpires to check the glossy ears of Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove. Seriously, an older guy using a baseball uniform went out on the field and asked some other grown guys if they might go inspect the ears of a pitcher who was controling the videogame duetothefactthat the supervisor felt like there may be something on those ears that might be assisting Musgrove.
