Country star Toby Keith has exposed he hasactually been fighting stomach cancer for much of the past year.
“Last fall I was identified with stomach cancer,” the 60-year-old vocalist composed Sunday in a social media post.
“I’ve invested the last 6 months getting chemo, radiation and surgicaltreatment. So far, so good. I requirement time to breathe, recuperate and unwind. I am looking forward to costs this time with my household. But I will see the fans faster than lateron. I can’t wait.”
Though not clearly specified in the post, Keith’s pressagent Elaine Schock states he will not be playing upcoming gigs “for now.”
He was set to kick off his Country Comes to Town trip this Friday in Wheaton, Illinois.
