Official weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 231 took location Friday, and 3 fighters missedouton their marks – which led to 2 battle cancellations.
Ismael Bonfim (19-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was set to open the primary card at light-weight versus Vinc Pichel (14-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC), however Bonfim missedouton the non-title limitation by 3.5 pounds at 159.5. Pichel was the last fighter to come to the scale throughout the two-hour main window and missedouton the mark, as well, at 157 pounds. He was provided an additional hour to cut the extra weight, though, and made weight at 155.5 pounds. After that, though, the battle was canceled, probably due to Bonfim’s missouton.
UFC newbie Victor Hugo (24-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was heavy for his bantamweight battle versus Daniel Marcos (15-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) on the prelims. He came in at 138.5 pounds, and rather of making his marketing launching on less than 3 weeks’ notification, his battle was ditched, too.
In addition, UFC beginner Eduarda Moura (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) came in well over the ladies’s strawweight limitation for her advertising launching versus Montserrat Conejo (10-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC).
