It wasn’t the mostconvenient day at the workplace for kickboxing referee Edward Strijkert.
Tasked with officiating the primary occasion of Glory Collision 5 inbetween Tariq Osaro and Antonio Plazibat for the interim heavyweight title, Strijkert discovered himself endingupbeing a larger part of the action than simply being the 3rd guy in the ring.
In the last seconds of the 2nd round, Plazibat closed on Osaro to letloose a mix of strikes versus the ropes. Knowing time was brief, Strijkert remained close to the action. As quickly as the bell sounded to signal the end of the round, the referee stepped inbetween the 2 fighters. Unfortunately for Strijkert, Plazibat was still tossing punches and captured the referee with a tidy best hand, sendingout him to the canvas on all fours.
